Awake

So you wonder about awakening.  Some say ascension.  Its meeting the soul mirrored in the world, a place where science and magic meet, where the rational and irrational merge into a wondrous new thing everyone is trying to describe or explain.
Some say its sun spots….or solar flares.  This is beautiful and perfect, for certainly this hints at the great connection we all share and have with the world.  But this is certainly connected to larger things, but more of it is the Collective humanity shifting and moving. You will begin feeling this once you awaken.  Perhaps before.  I was not aware of it like after I awoke, I will just be honest.  Before, it was more an idea.  A great perfect kind of idea.  But an idea.  Like a photo.  Not the real thing.  And then it woke up inside of me.
Time began doing VERY weird things.  And if you observe this in others exhibiting similar symptoms, you will find some interesting correlations between people.  This is perhaps why some want to say its the sun or something….impacting us all. But imagine the Collective Consciousness of humankind going through energetic bursts.  It would effect all of us who are attuned to it.  Some to greater and lesser degrees.  And what we call awakening does not have an exact demarcation for where it begins or ends. I approached for some six months wherein I had loads of interesting symptoms before the RUSH hit me. Light effects, time slips, rushes of energy, tingling, sweeping, third eye stuff….
Then the feeling of wanting to be of some service.  It becomes a preoccupation.  Slowly, as the awakening clears and cleanses, the things that were less then perfect are refined in ways you could only imagine.  What I once thought of as my very generous nature was revealed to have a hitch….and I worked on that….and it was a big deal because it meant doing things differently and the people on my life did NOT like that.  they punished me big time.  I tell myself; their choice, their karma—-how I respond is also my own karma so I try to be careful.  And as the service thing moves along as I change I keep asking the question; to what end?  Who saves another except that we save ourselves? That is what this dynamo is quietly saying while gently supporting all life and awareness with access to its limitless potential.  Its like we have this inheretance that we forgot we even had.  And there it is. But I have to admit I ask:  to what end?  Once you give it all up, you gain it all.  In letting go, the All is yours.
And what was a twin becomes a karmic entanglement that will push you beyond what you ever could believe was possible.  But the universe does not ask you to change your mind.  You have to do that.  And as you do, the universe changes.  What universe do you want to see?  Change your mind and you will see it.  It will become that for you, as beggars become kings.
And always, the greatest love.  Not a love FOR anyone or anything, but a force so powerful, like a bell struck through the universe now ringing in you.  It is less a feeling FOR as it is a force that you are.  And this is a leap.  for me, it was a leap.  A hard one. It matched the whole ego collapse thing.  You almost have to in order to feel it fully.  Ego limits.  So it goes to the edges.  Hangs out in the small back kitchen and makes notes and mutters to itself.  Its very good at being at the edges.
So sitting here, the universe flowing through, I keep asking; to what end?

The Great Secret

If you would know the great secret you would know the one who has begotten you before your life in a world where all die.  It was through the father and mother of the great light that you were begotten. To know your lineage is to know their union.  To know your union, you will know your lineage.  In their union, is the life.  It is only through them that you will taste the true resurrection that was spoken about which had nothing to do with the casting off of a body or of dying and coming back to life.  People live in this life as though they are dead. Once they taste the resurrection, they will know the deeper life, the true life. Restoring this to earth has been the mission of many boddhi’s including a man known amongst the Tibetans as Issa who had been crucified and who was said to have lived out his days with them with a woman named Mary.  There is a grave stone that has the foot prints of a man sculpted into it that shows the scars of crucifixion. This was how the word was expressed by one teacher whose teachings were not fully understood.  Much was hidden early on, but what was hidden has also been revealed.  If you can but have the eyes to see, you can understand that there was a teaching much like the Hindu that was based on the two irrefutable poles of conscious energy; masculine and feminine in union.  This is their perfect state, they were never meant to be separate.
The resurrection was not well understood. Because he had died on the cross and survived, he was said to have resurrected, but it is equally possible that he was given something on a sponge that would have put him into a deep state like death long enough to have his body removed and his life saved.  The hidden teachings speak of a different kind of resurrection, one that was not about death, but about coming to life while still alive. This is what we call today as "awakening" and bears the same symptoms and effects.  It was later aped by followers who did not fully know what was meant.  To truly know what this was all about, you had to experience it.  Jesus brought the Darshan (blessing of the grace) what he called a fire which he was casting upon the earth.  This was written in texts which were hidden from view for two thousand years.  You will not read these words in the "accepted" texts as handed down because many were ordered destroyed after Constantine met with the men (no women) who would choose the books that would constitute the first bible and the institutionalizing of the church.  However, seeing the writing on the wall, books were spirited out of the region and were buried in the desert of Nag Hammadi.  These would emerge in perfect timing for our very best translators to examine and bring forth for us.  In them the triad was the mother/father/son.  Consciousness was in truth ordered in the way a family was ordered.  The masculine pole and feminine pole would beget new life.  We were and are born from this lineage of masculine and feminine and bear them in the coding of our souls. When you awaken, what they termed “resurrection”  was as though you had been dead previously before your body arose into a new life. Your body came alive in ways you would not believe. While this involved the hiding of what role the feminine played in this relationship,  her truth could not be entirely hidden.   Many do not know and have forgotten just who the Holy Ghost was supposed to be. Most assumed it was another aspect of an all-male deity.  The early church fathers had bastardized the teachings….not just the teachings, but the irrefutable truth……for when you awaken, you cannot ignore the presence of both shakti and shiva in you….which is the father and mother or "father and holy ghost."  Their role is creative, and out of their orgasmic bliss arises the Christ Consciousness. Its interesting just how much the orgasmic bliss has been demonized. I can only conclude that this represented the final freedom, true spiritual power as well as physical creative power and the early church sought to keep its followers less than empowered.
In the gospel of Philip, a very important document for revealing the truth of the feminine and masculine as making up the deity….as well as the higher self emerges. He points out the obvious saying that those who say Mary begot with the Holy Ghost are in error, for "when does a woman beget with a woman?"  He was pointing out an issue that was already something of a mystery to people at the time….or it was already the subject of people seeking to lessen the presence of the female in the truth.
Since awakening is not contingent on any religion belief or faith, the issue of what some called the resurrection or awakening, or kundalini, is not one that can be forever hidden.   Every culture on the earth has stories and teachings about it.
Go as far afield as you wish in any faith.  When you awaken, the truth fills every cell in your body as the presence of THEIR ecstatic union fills you.  You feel bliss because they are now in union within.  These are your cosmic parents and through them, you may learn all secrets.  You must learn how to listen at the portals of reverie and imagination….for it is here in these unlikely places that the universe will rush in to you. If you look at the world and see how it poo poos the imagination as nothing real is the degree to which the world has forgotten how to access the mysteries.  These are those who ape and mimic but do not feel the indwelling spirit. But even they have it within themselves to feel this, to embody it…..as soon as they dispense with their twisted dogma that demonizes bliss.  Imagination leads to inspiration, and inspiration is divine grace.  This is your divinity present in the moment.  Under normal circumstances, it only arrives under certain circumstances.  When you awaken, its presence fills you. It is the very nature of inspiration to break you out of old limited thinking in order to help you to view and know the divine reality.  You can use this energy however you choose, but when it comes as a tidal wave continually, it fuels great creative output as well as insight. You do not necessarily have the heavens open up, but a reality will reside closer to you, within you.  Slowly, the secrets will be shown to you as you climb that stair ever higher. Some of it is not knowledge, but knowing.  Presence.  You do not go out into the world of things to discover truths, you se that you and the universe are the same. As the Upanishads have said you are a spider that lays down its thread which it then travels in this world. You are the creator and the created.  It is IN you. Your revelation will be in coming to know this great family unity.
You are born of a seemingly dual being of both masculine and feminine.  In truth, the only experience of their existence seems only to happen when they are in union.  Their creation is not something that is separate, and so even in your own consciousness, their bliss in you emerges from their unity, not disunity.   All life reflects this begetting that has its source in Source, the All.  This is an ancient teaching that many have sought to hide and change to their own egoistic whims. It does not change its truth and reality.  It waits for you, for the day when you cast off the shackles of your old life. Like two wires loosened in your being, connecting them will bring the current of the ALL into you immediately.  It will come like a freight train….or a great wind….or a surge up the spine.  It will be so strong it can take you out of your body.  Ecstasy will be a daily experience.  You will learn to open more and more to this and its presence will show you how to loosen the shackles and energetic blocks inside of you.  And as you awaken, you strengthen the field within all people. It grows, it builds, it is like a begetting that comes into itself. You learn what Thales, teacher of Pythagoras knew when he said "all things are full of gods."  Within the petal of your awareness, there is a still larger awareness of your whole self….the divine flower.  Every particle in nature and in ALL is built in this way.  It has its higher form, its “god” as Thales once proclaimed so correctly.  it is hard to know precisely how this is, but you will glimpse it in your being when you awaken.
With or without the old knowledge, or teachings, all of this is returning.  It returns no based on any teaching, not on the success of any philosophy or creed or method.  It returns because it is a very human experience.  We are evolving, and the world is undergoing great change.  Great events come with great change. The field of the collective consciousness has within it the spark which is turning like a great wave now.  Awakenings will continue to grow in number.  As each who awakens learns to build ever greater energetic potential, it will have a formidable effect upon the whole.  The single best thing one can do is to consider it a possibility without needing to know how it will happen to them.  When your mind is pliable and leaning into possibility is when the impossible has a way of happening.  The way of it is to be found in our yearning to know why we are here, who we are, and what this is all about.  THIS is the singular yearning that exists yet remains a mystery to our minds.  This is the evolutionary impulse, the divine spark. What we yearn for, most of us, is what we all do not know.  But we search.  We search through things and ways of life, all coming up short and unhappy.
What we seek is a love beyond all loves.  We think it is in other people, but it must first reside in us.  We seek outwardly, but this loves dwells within.  It is your own connection to the universe.  When you feel it, the thirst for trying to find "it" ceases in large measure.  This was what I spent my whole life chasing after.  I just didn't know exactly what it was.  And so it is with each person.  So feel into this yearning if you want to know the path to awakening.  It is here that you will get your "answer."  It is not knowledge, it is a knowing beyond all knowing.  It is a knowing that confers great bliss, great knowing, a silent but loud presence.  It is coming home.  Lean into it.  Feel inspired.  This is very human. Dream, hope, lean into it.  Seek.....but know that what you seek is not to be found in reincarnation or ancient texts or some old secret hidden from view.  The secret lies inside of you, in a FEELING. So FEEL.  The more you feel the closer you will be to its truth. No method will bring you to it.  People are studying kundalini yoga, but it wont come until they are ready.  There is nothing magical about it.  It focused intention. The physical side of it helps to keep you fit and gives you a discipline to practice, but most people waking up today are not doing so because of the yoga.  Having said this, though, if you are ripe for it, then anything that connects you to the feeling of rising energy will work.  So kundalini yoga or meditation could work.  I have a friend who tried this meditation and it worked the first time he tried it.  He was ripe.  He was ready. I never was involved in a practice.  I sparked it by forgiving myself of something I had been carrying around for years, a feeling like I was not living up to something between me and the universe. When I was able to let that go, events changed from that moment forward.  Kundalini began its six month period of unfolding.
It is better to feel into your own yearning for the hidden things of the world, the world within the world.  If you know this pull, you know the divine impulse already. It is here where you will find it.  Surrender.  Let go of all that burdens you.  Clean up your relationships. Forgive what bothers you.  Let go as much as you can let go for this will make the path easier.  Be like a child who knows how to forgive easily. Its much too hard to remain connected to these old hurts.  Its more fun to be happy and go play....

The Book: Waking The Infinite

Very soon I will be posting some pages from the introduction to my book Waking The Infinite.  I have been hard at work editing and getting a very large work down to a more manageable size. The work is going well and I would like to share with you some things covered in the book

  • The story of my own awakening-since it was not a textbook case, its worth noting as the phenomenon broadens
  • The protective effect awakening has on the light body
  • The effect the quantum field has on experience
  • how the shift fuels synchronocity
  • its more than synchronicity---learning to fuel the universe
  • the role of karma in awakening and broadening awakening
  • how karma can tear your light body, inviting numerous effects through the Law of Attraction
  • the soul connection:  understanding Twin Souls, and Twin Rays in a new light
  • the role of karma in soul connections
  • reaching beyond old cognative boundaries to consider the far reaches of what awakening can bring
  • a powerful means of understanding how the physical system holds onto past trauma and karma
  • understanding the role of forgiveness in an expanding Awakening
  • The role imagination plays, how it opens us to the opening of the soul to awakening
  • how inspiration is connected to grace, and how grace can lead you to speeding release of old karma
  • beyond The "science" of kundalini:  how to keep perspective while glimpsing the mystery
  • Practice Elements:  Understanding how Practice works to craft methods that work powerfully
  • The truth about ego death
  • The non-locality of awakening
  • and much more

Currently there are seven chapters which involve personal experiences to help illuminate aspects of awakening.  The journey will include visiting other lifetimes that have had a bearing on today and why this period in history represents a shift in our awareness as a planet. The book helps to bring new awareness and expands understanding about the potential that awakening offers.  In clear and straightforward language, unencumbered by dogma, I do not lean on New Ageisms or concepts to explain the phenomenon.  In truth, this is itself a formless thing that we all seek to put to form.  As a result, its better experienced than talked about.  When we do talk about it, simple language is best.  Having said that, the awareness that this book will bring will help many to become more cognizant of the great gift that a kundalini awakening can bring and how to utilize the awareness the work represents in going further and finding many more resources.  The gift, in the end, is love.....perhaps the greatest there is.

Soon I will be posting the new revised introduction that helps to set the stage for the book.  I am currently revising and editing the book prior to "shopping" it.

Parker

Healing Through Archetypes

One thing that seems to happen almost universally in awakenings is an awareness of union with a higher force, with those energies which feel pre-existant in the world, in spirit, and in ourselves. Thales, the Greek Presocratic and the teacher of Pythagoras once said that "All things are full of gods."  In awakening this old phrase that I studied and pondered in a college philosophy course  was the object of much conjecture.  My feeling then was this went deep, but I wasn't quite sure how deep it went, or even what it meant completely.  Upon awakening, or during it, I saw how everything was tied together, made up of the same stuff, a kind of holographic universe built on orders of magnitude, and that the building blocks of all matter and life were based on this pre-existant energy which was flooding the universe and was flooding me.  It is the great cosmic yin and yang, the positive and negative, the feminine and masculine. In most awakenings, regardless of the culture, there is some kind of awareness or expression of understanding that what one feels is the very essence of union.  As this has unfolded, I see how every single form that is has its greater expression, its own "god" if you will. Or gods.  That would suggest that its not just plural, but also broad and inclusive to involve those aspects of ourselves which are present in our world and that also exist in still higher forms. In Christianity there was the Father and the Holy Ghost (which was known in Jesus's time to be the feminine aspect of the deity).  In the Hindu tradition, it was Shakti and Shiva.  Both were involved in union.  Both merged in a blissful state of union that served to reveal the great secrets of the universe.....that the world is made up holographically, that we are all interconnected....that all life is recursive, a kind of giant fractal, a lineage from a higher form (gods) to us, the earthly selves of things that exist in "larger" scales.

Our sexual identity is not to be excluded.  In higher forms, our soul resides in a state of perfection.  It seems in all encounters I have had with it (in the beginning since my first encounters were fleeting and often difficult) that somewhere within me resides this self that is in a sense above my self, above the fray and the karma and all the rest.  This is my divine parentage, perhaps what some in the eastern tradition call the oversoul. It is because I am connected and a part of that self that I can choose to let go of the river bank and swim in its waters. When I do I have an experience of satori, of divine bliss.  Since I am not a student of the eastern traditions, I trust my terminology is correct.  But the point here is that beyond all of this bru-ha-ha is a refined sense of self that can serve as a template for being.  In a real sense, it is what we already are.  Its almost as though you were handed a cheat sheet, a clear path to knowing or being.  You visit your future self, you get all the answers, you come back to your place in your own time and rest in wonder over it all. You don't have to travel through time, though, since that self is available to you.  Before awakening it was only there during certain periods of my life, and I felt it more as a burst of inspiration that would flood into my moment and would leave a series of drawings, a-ha moments and other inspiring proofs of its having been present.  I seemed to be chasing after those elusive moments and often thought of them as inspiration.  This was of course correct, but it can be a state of being because it hints at the broader potential possible in such experiences of kundalini or awakening.

We can learn to heal some pretty broken places in ourselves, a place where the floor boards have gotten beaten up pretty bad.  Part of what we have had so much trouble with for so long has been tied to our sexual identities.  Just look at us as a race and its everywhere.  We have kept down the feminine for so long.  Some have rationalized this because women should be protected, or cared for by the masculine.  Women are the heart of the home, the nurturers, and yet, we have at the same time not given credit where its due. We have kept her submerged practically and figuratively.  She has not been able to inherit property.  She has not had the right to pass on her name.  She has not had the right to vote, to sell property, or to have jobs that paid the same as their male counterparts.  Women have been considered property.  Its not been the best time in the world. All of our most divine parts, while present, have been in disrepair. our most instinctive senses have been put toward the wrong ends.  Men have been asked to be the strong ones, yet when they exhibit sensitivity or need to be cared for emotionally, many women are turned off.  Men are meant to be strong, the rock, and god forbid if they ever crack under the pressure. There are all kinds of expectations that we put to each other, and its like Annais Nin once said that we are like sculptors of people; we make of them what we want them to be, but since it is not who they are, we always wind up being let down or feeling at a loss in the end, for it never suits them and it never suits us. Its true.  And this, dear friend, is what karma does.  And this is what kundalini begins to undo to the degree that one is ready. We can begin to heal those archetypes in us by bringing those forms down from the mountains of our awareness into the valley's of our earthly existence.

Within each of us resides both masculine and feminine in different degrees.  Each person has a drop or two of their opposite in them, its how the universe works.  Its less that you are divided down the middle, but a swirl of elements which you could consider masculine and feminine.  These make up who you are.  For people who have been defensive for a long time, you will find that your psyche has been ringed with masculine energy.  Why?  Well, its that part of you that is strong, the protector.  We call it masculine.  Its in truth HUMAN.  It does, though, have an energetic signature that is different from its seeming opposite, the feminine.  In my own experience, I grew to be very armored, protected from hurt.  I did this from a very early age due to trauma and hurt I had received.  I knew no other way and also was not fully aware just how armored I had become.  Wilhelm Reich, the psychologist who broke with Freud's analysis of how the psyche works delved in this armoring and how to remove it in order to heal.  As I learned to surrender in my awakening, I also let fall the walls all around me.  Boy, they had been up a long time!  It was a relief to feel them come down.  I felt like a different person.  it also meant that my ego, which had been monitoring the perimeter had grown very strong.  It seems that a lot of people who go through this sort of thing develop strong egos perhaps as part and parcel of trauma.  It gets you out of the feeling side and into a less emotional part of you....but boy, what a messed up part that is!  It is the interplay of these two elements within that can teach you how to loosen and become more supple spiritually. I discovered that my feminine essence was protected by a ring of masculine.  Everything that made me soft and sensitive was to be protected at all costs!  And it did.  it grew up feeling like it could ride to the aid of others, for it was perfectly suited for the job.  Again, there is karma!

As I have moved through this, I have stopped asking so many questions and have sought in a new way how my life ought to be.  I have not always had the answers, I have not always understood where I was going or where I was being led.  I often didn't know what was divine inspiration and what was karma.  As I have moved along I have found how accessing the two opposites within has led to peace.  The great secret is that as I access them, I am aware that I am accessing a universal field of energy and feel a still larger sense of moving the universe through me.  I can remember reading something that a zen buddhist had said about reaching these states.  He described it as sitting quietly as all the sand grains in the deserts passed through your hands.  This is, I think, hitting upon the same idea. There is a lot there.  If I am quiet and calm and centered, I can feel the pulse of the masculine moving through me and a current of something that seems a little beyond my ability to fully understand of feel, but that nonetheless is present.  It is me, but it is also something larger. I imagine my hand goes up and I feel its energy moving through my hand as I move it through fields of energy which need healing.  Unlocking and healing, this warm presence is beyond the hurt and pain of our past.  He does not seek to plunder or take or control.  He is gentle and kind.  He is fully aware that he is like a warm raw of sunshine warming an otherwise cold day.  He moves through all things, and like heat, he soaks in and heals. He does not take, but he gives.  He is content to simply be who and what he is, perfect essence, compassionate and freely bestowed.  At his source, he knows that the Source of all Life is this.  Loe is not bestowed upon only a certain righteous few.  This essence moves through and animates all things.  This happens, though, not on his own, but in consort with the feminine force of the universe, the Great Mother of All. It is in this interplay between them, the push the pull, the cool the warm, the hard the soft, that the world moves into dance and is animated, coming further and further into reality.

This awareness has been healing, it has helped me to crack open the hard places within me.  By centering on the hardness, being aware of it, I tell myself that it can all soften, and it does.  As I heal, I imagine the world heals right along with me.  One compliments the other, as the essence of the male is made more beautiful by that which adores him.  Somehow, her magical presence brings awareness of just how beautiful he is.  It is because he sees through her eyes to see how she see him that this is so.  But in similar fashion, she looks out through his eyes to see how he sees her, and realizes just how beautiful he finds her essence to be. He is aware that she is aware that she has many many manifestations in endless worlds down to the smallest speck, and he knows that they are both the parents of all of this. Long ago we had the rite of Hieros Gamos, most often a pagan kind of rite that involved intimate union with a god.  It emerges in a number of ways in different places and times.  The idea is that we ascend into that place into the godself.  Whatever the particulars have been in these rites, I do know that the moment that kundalini comes in, it is the very essence of this union.  As their union presides over the healing of the self, its power can be felt more and more.  Its true essence can be known more and more.  Since their union is eternal, there is no sense of separation.  There is not an intention to be one, for it has always been.  Theirs is less a river you learn to navigate as something that you simply jump into because it is what you are.  We may seek to ritualize it, but in truth, it is here in this moment through surrender and intention. We say kundalini rises in order to reach ultimate union, but from the moment kundalini emerges, it IS in union.  All that you do, though, is to learn how to be one with IT.  As you do, things become simpler.  No rituals, no dogmas, no religions, too.  Its in you like gravity.  You don't need a religion for that, or a belief for that.  That is why, when it comes, you will know it unmistakably.  No guesswork.

Here we are, in this moment.  We can choose bliss, follow it and hold onto it and then ask what it is that remains.  It may not always take you where you thought you would go, but it will always lead you to healing if you let it. As this happens, the bliss teaches and softens more.  Some problems simply cannot be solved.  Let them alone.  Forgive them.  As you do, your heart opens more deeply and feels a greater sense of this love that is less FOR something as it IS something unconditional and rapidly moving out of the old paradigm and into the new.

The One True Path

The world is full of paths.  Methods, means, teachings. They are all offered by people who have themselves experienced some aspect of what they feel was true for them. They pass it on and sometimes it turns into a movement of some kind, perhaps a religion or a philosophical path.  Some, like Krishnamurti, seek a pathless path.

More and more I have grown to recognize that our spirituality is colored by our belief, our own experiences and our own attachments to what we feel is somehow important. We are loaded down with these things, which as I go along look more like baggage than any kind of real truth.  For me, its as though I was looking at a glass full of water that had all kinds of eddies and sparks and cubes of ice.  It was important for those things to be there.  More and more, though, my glass of water is becoming much more simple.  There is less flash, less mental jewelry that catches the eye. It becomes simpler, stripped of what I thought was important, and as all the flash goes, I am left with what is real, and in that moment, with what is, I am free to see the true abiding qualities in that glass of water.  Simpler looking, perhaps humble, but bearing something so magnificent that it never needed all the flash and add-ons. Behind all the stuff is the thing.  Behind what we project onto the world as being important is life.  And the truth, which is less a thing as an infinite string that makes up a vast realm of everything.  The deity is here, now, in even the baggage you create, in all the stuff of the universe.  What we took as clay and dressed up to be ten thousand forms, is still just clay but with all the things we feel is true imprinted upon it.  What does the clay have to say?  What is its deeper truth and essence?  This, in its own limited way of describing it, is what this authentic path is about.  I hesitate to even call it the one true path because in the evolutionary spiral of our souls, the road or path constantly changes because it is we who change.  The projector is projecting different images and at some point stops even projecting because it has somehow learned that the projection, the screen, all are one.  This "truth" does not strike me as anything that can be given isms or shalts or rules.  It is what it is, simple as that, and on the day you learn of it and feel it coursing through your veins, a world of truths will go into the wastebasket.  That, or you will refuse to believe what it is you are seeing and feeling.

Increasingly I see that all religions, all philosophies are built around something that is entirely immaterial, transcendent, and reaches into a "realm" of human experience that touches upon what feels like a new world.  How then can it ever hope to create something that shows one how to go?  By creating rules?  Laws?  What about learning to feel ones own true being so that you can tap where this "rule" (ha!) emerges?  Its in us to know this truth intimately.  It flows from us.  Or can.  Instead of things, I feel myself resolving back to a simpler root of being.  The thing about this is that things most often cause suffering because they are built around unrealistic expectations. religious leaders, so lofty and wise wind up being egoistic or greedy in the end.  Full of agendas because they are full of karma still, the fruits can only be as good as the tree growing them.  There are many who speak the words that sound so good, but its in living and being them that seem to matter most, for if that is not there, they are just words.

Beyond all the thou shalts, beyond all the rules and modes of behavior is what every being in the universe knows deeper down.  As we strip away the jewelry, we find a beauty that is simple but all encompassing; this is the motive force behind all things.  It exists in a state of eternal potential.  It is the creative potency of the universe.  It is the cross roads of potential and realization.  This is a powerful place to be, for in being there, you feed directly from a place where there are no teachers, no thou shalts.  There is only the pure light, the truth indwelling, and its not to be found at a church or other body outside of your own.  It is indwelling.  It goes beyond all ideas or notions about what purity is or what love is.  You have to experience it for yourself.  For me, it has left me without a need for any philosophy or religion.  I do, like many teachers, clothe it in form in order to describe it most often through metaphors. Still, if I say a teaching is like a boat or raft, we know its not really a boat.  We talk around this when the real action is simply feeling it.  I think that its so fundamental to our being that its meant not to be describable but experienced.  Its like what I told a student not long ago who was standing before an art project she had started and was suddenly scared about being able to pull it off.  She kept asking what to do.  I said there was nothing else to do but to jump in.  I described how she was standing by the edge of the water and all her friends had already jump in. That water was a bit scary, made her feel unsure of herself, but it was the uncertainty that was causing all of this.  Be bold I said; jump in.  Once you do, it will be much easier.  the water wont be as cold as you feared, and you will find yourself feeling much happier and sure of yourself.  What's more, it will be FUN.  She took my advice, jumped in, and wound up making one of the most amazing pieces of art she had probably ever done up until that point.  It raised her confidence level, and was very rewarding.  She broke through a fear barrier, an uncertainty.  By being able to do this, we all are able to face what seemed a great mystery.  It may have been scary at first.  When we make the leap, we do so into the pure light of our truer nature.  Maybe we are making something, creating, or writing a paper, or book, and wonder if the next curve in the road will bring us what it is we hope for.  I say leap. Leap and then feel into the rush that you experience. This, I say, is your soul rushing forward to meet you.  This exhilaration is what we all seek and need to break beyond old forms into new ones.  Eventually, forms seem to fall away as this feeling takes over.  It is the core of who and what we are.

Once you reach this place of feeling, of awakening, you are guided.  Slowly, bit by bit, the old walls come down. Belief systems are seen as systems. All the forms are just that.  they point to what cannot be pointed to but experienced.  The ecstasy of the saints comes alive in you and you may try to explain it a hundred ways to Sunday, but in the end, it all resolves back onto itself. The sages describe this as the peace we find because it does not require anything of us except a surrender to it.  It does not involve acts of contrition to a church, community service, or self flagellation.  It does not involve paying alms or tithing.  It requires nothing but your being your essential self absent the trappings of this world.  This does not mean that you do not work through a church or temple.  Perhaps you need some structure of help you to have the time to sit quietly at a pew.  Perhaps. Most often, for me, going out into nature is the most perfect church one could ever imagine.  Certainly how I see it and respond to it has changed over time.  It becomes a thrilling realm of life jumping over itself to become.  Here I see what happens as the potential transits with the material; creation blooms.  I see it all as a wonderful production that fills me with the energy that flows through it and that I am a part of.

This place is where my divine parentage emerges.  Here, the father and mother reside in harmony.  These polarities exist all through nature and the cosmos, I realize.  I say they are parents, but they are in truth far broader, but there is certainly something that is larger than me that I am a part of that fills me and rejuvenates me and shows me that I am tapping the energy of the divine.  I know that if I imagine raising my hand and allowing my imagined hand to be filled with the spirit of the father, the masculine, that I can fill anyone with its wonder.  I know, too, that the feminine force resides in perfect harmony with the father, the masculine.  it is she that softens and allows for great mystery to be known.  Hers is more formless, mutable, and changing like storm clouds that are never the same, but constantly in a state of flux and change, bringing forth form as the dance of the masculine and feminine continues.  My very thoughts, I know, rest astride their wave of awareness.  As I feel more deeply into myself, there is a place where I can sense them clearly.  There is not a place where they suddenly are there and not there.  They are seeded all through my being. Its all interconnected.  I cannot even begin to draw distinctions very well since while I can feel their currents as different, I know they are merged into a unity and it is that unity that they are that I am myself emulating. This is why I will explain what most will not....

The concept of kundalini, which is merely awakening, is the result of the merging of two polarities within.  These polarities underlie all of creation. That's a pretty big deal in a sense, yet its very simple, too.  Its a thrilling feeling, like I have a great secret.  But when you feel kundalini, you are feeling what union IS.  They do not move up your energy field in the HOPE of reaching union.  No.  The moment you feel it is the moment you become aware of that union which has always been. The first spark of kundalini is itself the union of the opposites creating bliss in your awareness.  What this presence does for you, to you, is to begin to loosen the material in your earthly self, your psyche, so that you can begin to model or emulate that same action within.  This is your divine parentage coming in to show you how its done.  All of the troubles you have in awakening are merely your finding the way to mirror this in your earthly self. This action strips you of all the things that did not serve you here.  You naturally become more simple.  Miracles happen in your life.  The path is made clear.  You heal.  Feeling their union within, you fall into their divine alignment. As you do this, you literally resonate with the cosmos.  In a never ending spiral upwards, your consciousness goes into ever higher forms of union with the universe. the more you let go of this material, the clearer the way becomes. Fear and anxieties fall away.  You may have no answer to how to fix yourself, but it no longer matters; their union solves all problems and heals all wounds.  So like a hitch hiker, you cling to their celestial bodies for the ride of your life. And while this may all sound amazing, what is so amazing is how simple it is.

This disquiets ego.  its used to lots of sounds and lights and amazing things that move and sparkle.  This is all jewelry and the ego will most often feel let down, unhappy, or simply unamazed. When you feel the bliss deeper down beyond all the lights and action, things naturally become simpler. Life can be so incredibly spare, empty even, with this great beauty dwelling within.

Eventually, all things return to something entirely elemental and simple.  Her is the most religious feeling, the greatest graces and miracles.  Here, saints dance.  Here, your soul has found home. This world is beyond all form, yet also gives rise to it.  It is an endless supply of the stuff of which we are all made and that animates the universe.  This is the energy that has caused all to come into being, to move, to evolve.  Once you have tasted it, you will perhaps understand how it does indeed move through everything....constituting it from the inside out.  It is silent, though, silent until the day that you awaken.  There will be no gods coming down to set you straight.  That is not how it works, even though we have old stories of the gods doing just that.  Its just that we wished they would.  When we become silent within and know what we are is the moment that we do.  Its beyond all religion.  Form.  Belief.  It gives you the courage to strike out on your own.  You aren't seeking it anymore; you now know it.  You have found it. Searching ends and being begins as the power of awakening shows you the way to the bliss and fulfillment that is its own reward.

Universality of Awakening

I came across an article stating how there was an evil kundalini spirit infiltrating the church…..I had a moment of eyeroll and read a little.  One person, who was experiencing an awakening had a blissful experience until…..it got SEXUAL.  Then she knew it was of the devil.  yesirree.

My sense has been all along that there awakening is not predicated on a given philosophy or religion.  the switch in us is univeral.  Its HUMAN.  We are all born of one Source or Creator.  To suggest its some dude up in the clouds is really sily once you touch the infinite.  So lets take a look at just how different an awakening is from one culture to the next, or religious background.  For a creator, having this available to all people regardless of religion would make sense. If we are so arrogant to consider that none of our religions aren't somehow off the mark, then maybe we need to rethink things just a little.  Just looking at the events that led to the Nicene Council being called and the events in its wake are enough to raise real concern about whose truth is being told....(this takes a little research and might be the subject of another article although these investigations are generally viewed as merely a way to criticize the religion somehow....never mind that those bringing up the issues weren't themselves responsible for them...aruge if you wish about opinions, but when people argue with facts, this gets very troublesome).

Turns out that all awakenings tend to result in an initial very positive experience.  Not always, but often. Then, after some time, it can get hard.  In fact, so hard that the individual goes through what we all term a dark night of the soul.  Again, this is pretty universal.  You will see discussions about this in Hindu texts as well as Christian ones.  Both Saint Teresa of Avilla as well as St John The Cross both went through terrible trials that actually deibilitated Teresa in her younger years.  I think about this and my own experience.  There were days, weeks even, when I could barely rouse myself enough to get out of bed.  I felt flattened by this. In truth, I was struggling against the divine…..and to some in the church, this could easily be seized upon as evidence that its some evil spirit.  Not so. This belies a lack of knowing about just what happens in an awakening. IN this process its as though you suddenly have a tuning fork going of all through your body and this tuning fork is perfect pitch.  It is the divine pitch.  No other. It SEEMS like the energy is hard, but once you get through it, you realize it was merely your own dross, the junk that you grew up with that was causing the problem, those dark nights of the soul.  In truth, the ego was just hanging on for dear life.  Another universal trait in overcoming this trial is surrender.  You just let go of your need to control.  You give it up to the Creator.  When people do this in a supreme way, in totality, all struggle ceases.  This is true for Hindu as well as a latter day experincer regardless of culture or religious affiliation.

The scared ones seize upon the weird jerky movements as evidence that someone is being posessed by an evil “kundalini spirit.”  However, if people are honest with themselves, they will realize that in their own traditions, the movement of the Holy Ghost causes this very same behavior, right down to the jerky movements.  When you view people in the Christian Church under the posession of the Holy Ghost, they will tremble and jerk.  No one dares say that they are posessed of an evil spirit do they? On the contrary, this is seen as evidence of the movement of the divine in them. The Shakers were so called, along with the Quakers because they BOTH found when they reached ecstatic states, they would have these jerking movements which in the Hindu tradition are called “kriyas.”  What I find so amazing is that in one video the church followers slow down one woman’s kriya movement in order to make it appear sinister somehow.  I have to say, they did a good job of it….and yet, if their own people were doing this, there is ample evidence that this is the Holy Ghost.  The truth is, on a neurological level, shaking actually seems to do something to us that helps to eleviate stress from the strong current of energy moving.  The movements are sometimes impossible to keep a lid on.

Another element present in awakenings is speaking in tongues.  This is termed glossolia and is not limited to the Christian Church.  It happens to people who are of no particular faith at all.  In the Christian Church, its seen as evidence of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost, even though its roots have been forgotten, was widely considered to be the feminine aspect of God.  Some Christians want to refute this, pointing to no evidence whatsoever for this being true. There is in truth, quite a bit of factual basis that this is true.  In the Acts Andrew describes a vision of Christ where he sees a triadic being and this being speaks to him in Jesus’s voice so he knows who it is. Jesus states that he is one with the father, the mother, and son.  In most other works its shortened to just say “I am one with the father.”  However, I think there is a very good reason for why this was shortened and its simple’ paternalism or chauevnism that was so strong even amongst the disciples that some disciples chose to cut the feminine out of their retelling of facts from the get-go.  In those documents which were buried in Nag Hammadi and which are now understood to be even older than the documents used for the King James’s version, Jesus speaks clearly in mutiple gospels about the deity as being BOTH masculine and feminine.  The difference is that most people never got to read these documents so it only SEEMS strange.  In an awakening, this is hardly strange, but is APPARENT. In the Hindu tradition, for example, the rise of kundalini is all about the unification of the masculine and feminine into a unity.  In the Gospel of Philip he explains that Jesus came to heal this separation between the masculine and feminine that is within, which is what he calls the restoration. Jesus calls the feminine both the Mother of the Universe as well as Sophia and indicates she is also called Pistis.  The Ebionites, the earliest of converted Christians have a prayer to the Father/Mother God who are the parents of the Christ (son).  Philip explains that we all seek to become Christs.  Over and over in these hidden documents its made quite clear that this is not a male only club, but that the triad is more a family unit way of understanding our lineage to the divine. There are also a few documents which did not get destroyed that also show Jesus directly alluding to the Holy Ghost as being feminine.

Now hang on a minute.  The Hindus talk of this as being a serpent.  What about that?  Look, the things you have to realize is that all of this is entirely without form, so what is being described is a best effort at trying to describe this experience.  When I felt my awakening there was a very sensual feeling to the energy….and it had a kind of feeling at least in the beginning that felt almost like something moving like a snake does, but clearly I did not have a snake inside of me.  Even more than this, I felt no snake going up my spine.  This is just an image created by the Hindus who happen not to have the same association with snakes that the Christians do. Clearly, in both Christian and Hindu texts, there is no snake.  Its an IMAGE to seek to give word to something that is formless; it is a spiritual power, not a literal form.  Further, the tale of the garden seeks to explain something that most liekly never even happened as told….it does however express how we came to be dual beings…separated from the garden within.

So if my awakening of kundalini is so evil, why did I encounter an angel who did to me precisely what he did to Saint Teresa?  At the time I never even KNEW about Teresa’s story  All I knew was the sculpture by Bernini, and only then did I know that there was a small angel standing over her looking like a mischievous kid.  When I read Teresa’s account I wondered how on earth her account could have been so exact.  I suspect that what each being did was to effect a change in each of us that was through something that we will learn is a science of the soul….and as such it will work for Christians, Hindus, Native Americans, and other pagans….regardless of belief. Why?  Because this is because we are ALL connected to the same Creator.  Many names, same name.  Different stories, the same story.
People who have awakenings often go into healing work of all kinds.  How different is this from  a Hindu who is awakened who writes or teaches, helping others to come to love and to the Source of all life.  And how different is this from someone in the church who is awakened wanting to minister to others about the goodness that resurrection has to offer?  It get to be a little silly….and like how some people prefer Evion water over Deer Park. Why?  Its all water.  Its just packaged and marketed differently. I suspect that its less the contents as how its been SOLD.  Its all just water, really.  One does not have some kind of poison in it. That’s like saying you just can’t trust the universe or god to come to your aid when you need it.  I have had God come to my aid, thank you very much, and its between him and I to be quite honest.  I also have the Holy Ghost coming to my aid daily, too, and that too is between me and She.

When we let fear enter in, we also cut ourselves off from healing.  This is what an awakening offers.  I am kind of sorry that the lady who felt it get SEXUAL got all freaked out that it was of the DEVIL….because now, she will now likely remain stuck right where she is and not move forward through the briar patch that is her soul.  Its unfortunate because it doesn’t need to be so difficult.  Getting the ego to stand aside is very universal too….be you from ANY belief….and yet in each instance, it will absolutely bring relief (not because its the energy in you making it hard but because its just not natural for you to try and drive this experience with your smaller self….just doesn’t work!)
When we want to label something evil, we actually close of all possibility of seeing that this evil is actually something else entirely.  This is not to say evil does not exist, but the path to the divine is something that we each come to without any intermediary and it seems those in the church are pretty afraid that they are going to become possessed….and yet, possession by the Holy Ghost is esteemed by them. Its esteemed by me most certainly because I feel the presence of this Holy Ghost every single day. She is the very force that humanizes me, makes me more whole.  But I also know she is the same thing as Shakti.  Many names, one name.

And lastly.  A ” kundalini spirit” is a misnomer.  Its not a “spirit.”  Kundalini is life force energy.  As such, the divine created all of it….and is inside of it as a supportive force.  You can actually FEEL the divine in the moment in this way.  Kundalini, like life force, is a term, not some religious label.  Kundalini is NOT some spirit. It is the Source.  Life force leads you to the divine.  Life IS Creator.  Now stop being silly. Trust in your Creator.  Its here to bestow gifts upon ALL of us, not some select few who will go running out of church like their hair is on fire the moment someone starts moving the Holy Ghost.  We will heal and we might move with the spirit, and we might also speak in tongues (I knew someone who had kundalini doing this and I thought how similar this was to speaking in tongues this was….). We will all do this because we are all after all, human, and the love of the One shines on all of us regardless of race, sex or creed.  If you want to drink Deer Park over some other brand, please feel free. In the end, its all the water of life.

Working the Painbody

The energy body along with the body, thinks.  The ancients knew this and modern psychologists are coming to this conclusion.  We aren't just a mind....and we shove material down into the energy body, the matrix of awareness that can cause these repressed feelings and memories to reemerge as disease in the body many years later.  IN Chinee medicine we know that movement helps us to release old hardened knots...old issues that have just rested there and were allowed to fossilize. Disciplines like Qi Gung (also "gong") are known for how they keep the field clear.  And when you awaken, you become much more aware of how your energy body does think and feel.  It was, for me, as though I was aware of these old issues much like they were organs in my body....except not something good....something that had been allowed to "live" there but did me no good. These little bits of broken cosmic code only served to confuse the matrix of my body with material that never seemed to do it any good.

Painbody is the result of these hurts, their collective voice all screaming inside of us.  Again, when I awoke, I gradually became more aware of this hurt in my body.  At a certain point when someone actually took my hurt off me energetically (this is another story) through an act of surrogacy, I was allowed a few moments to feel what it was like without the pain.  Then the pain came back after this healer put the energy back on.  What had happened was my system was allowed to "reset" so that I could be more aware of this pain my awareness.  It had been so constant and so present, I simply didn't feel it anymore.  Imagine putting your head in a vice for 30 years.  After a while, you would simply stop feeling that the vice was even there. I had a great aunt who lived by the railroad tracks.  Trains were coming by all the time.  During the War, they would be spaced a mile apart as they made their way to the shipping lanes of Newport News as tanks and jeeps were shipped overseas.  One day, without looking, she stepped out in front of a train.  People though she had committed suicide.  The truth was, she simply no longer heard the trains.  As loud as they were, her consciousness had managed to filter them entirely out.  Pretty amazing.  But we do this.

From that moment on, though, I felt my painbody in an excruciating way.  It would make me feel clammy, my head would hurt, I would feel like I might throw up.  How was it that I had managed to deal with all of this for so long?  How was I ging to deal with this intense pain throbbing inside of me 24/7?   I learned that dealing with the painbody was a matter of focus.  By allowing the bliss of the kundalini to flow I did not feel painbody for that period of time.  I found that I continued to resolve knots and blocks in my field.  I could feel them fall away.  I never really knew what they were at the time.  Sometimes I would feel a very old emotion, something from my childhood, and it was followed by a feeling of suddenly being set free somehow.  I felt lighter.  The energy flowed without being impeded.  I found that meditation would work, but meditation that helped me to shift my energy, a process where I could actually feel how my brain wave state would change.  I could feel a shift happen in my head that spread all through my body.  It was like tuning in a new station.  Once I did this, I not only was able to release pain, I was also able to feel as though I had just taken a long nap.  I was able to do this while awake, but it often meant pretending I was falling asleep.  I learned that my brain would THINK I was asleep if I was motionless for long enough periods and was tired enough. This worked best when in the early afternoon and I was very tired.  I could feel a buzzing veil fall down all around me.  It felt as though I was falling asleep in one world and waking up in another.  I often would see an aura of dark golden light around my body that was coincident with this shift.  I believe that we can all experience this shift while awake but you need to feel really tired or sleepy. Three in the afternoon seemed the perfect time for me to encounter this.  It also meant that I had to sit perfectly still for about 45 minutes and allow myself to drift.  My eyes were always closed.  I was most often awake.  Once the buzzing veil fel down around me, I could get up.  I would feel entirely refreshed and the pain would have lifted.  For longer and longer periods, I was able to relieve myself of this pain.  I later found that the pain was merely an association that i was making with a given type of energy.  I too was tuning in the pain.  I began to tune it out.  And it went away.

One of the biggest releases I had with the pain was a pain I felt in my heart.  This one was very hard.  When I began feeling it, it felt as though my physical heart was somehow encased in a rough stone coffin. The soft heart muscle would scrape against the rough insides of this stoney exterior.  It felt exactly like this. One day I managed to drop this material away at a point when I felt like I was at the end of my rope emotionally.  I was shown a memory from a past life where I had wound up blaming myself for a lot of people in my village who had gotten hurt.  While I was not directly involved, I blamed myself.  I also suspect other people also sought to blame me.  It was a peculiar kind of pain to feel.  But its had been with me since about the 1400's and in that moment, wen the material was allowed to drop, my insides felt relief from this hurt for the first time in centuries.  The heart center was liberated, and was beaming with something I can only describe as joy. It almost hurt from all this joy flowing through it.  It was as though a golden sun was shining inside of me.  This intense feeling persisted for about three days and even now I can focus on my heart and it will begin to shine in this same exact way.

Releasing pain and lessening painbody is merely removing yourself from thinking or identifying with the pain to begin with.  It isn't that you ignore what happened, its more that you realize there isn't anything you can do about it now. Its in the past.  We need to focus on now, not on something that happened so long ago.  And yet, for obvious reasons, we do.  Intent is the single most powerful tool that you can use to begin this process.  By using intent you don't even need to know HOW you are going to release it, only that you want to.  By being disciplined, you can choose the positive over the negative.  Depending on how ingrained this hurt has been, you can slowly replace hurt with joy.  This is not an overnight remedy, but its possible to have successes in the exact same way I did; these healings can happen in a glimmering, so be ready for the possibility.

Sometimes having a practice can help.  If this helps you, you can use breathwork as well as a meditative state to help bring you to the place within where change can take place.  You can imagine your painbody shrinking in size.  You can also simply feel into the calm centered bliss of the energy that flows through you.  Breath work will help to silence the mind. It can also help your own energy to flow more freely and in a less tight and chaotic way.  There is no secret to this breathwork except that long breaths in and out seem to be the most profundly relaxing since they seem to remind us that we are relaxed.  Afterall, slow and deep breathing mimics how we breath when we are asleep and at our most relaxed.  The body tends to follow how we feel and we can trick the mind into thinking its relaxed through this type of breathing.  Its simple but effective.  By simply feeling the good vibes that come from relaxation, you will be doing exactly what you need to cultivate the kinds of feelings that will help distance you from this pain.

When you do breath work, you can also imagine that your energy is going out with your breath and that you are taking in new energy, gradually replacing the old energy with good clean energy.  I often imagine pretending I am the sand along the beach and the water will come up and wash away all the junk in the sand....over and over the waves will flow into me and then out of me, and I feel cleared  I do this many times over a period of weeks, even months.  The effects are all very positive.  These can become the first cracks in a fascade that has needed some attention for a good while.  You owe it to yourself to feel better.

Kundalini Talking

Over the last few days I have been working on getting some cuttings from an old orchard so I can graft the old apple varieties onto new root stock.  As I have been out in nature trimming and collecting I have felt a resurgence of some old stuff and in so doing, it has helped to show me just how much I have changed.

Through the voice of this energy I can hear it, feel it, speaking.  Something is speaking....my higher self, the energy.....maybe they are one and the same.

Its talking about desire.  Its showing me a person who is free from most karma and this person does not seek through desire that is governed by karma.  The karma, in this case, are those things that we do unconsciously that serve to trip us up.  People we are attracted to that are themselves tied into an old karma we have yet to resolve.....and most often than not, things wind up going badly for both....and while people will tend to want to blame or point fingers, ultimately this all resolves back to the self.  Always always always......until we say "ok, I give up.  What do I have to do to drop all of this stuff that makes me do what I do not want to do?"

When karma is dropped, desire does not go away.  What remains is what governs us.  Energy, or consciousness, will always attract, will always be dynamic.  This is the nature of energy, and it is the way things are.  Even when you are not seeking, not doing, your energy field has an effect all around you. You magnetize the world based on one given wish and hope....or based on some unresolved issue having to do with self love and guess what, this winds up effecting you based on your feelings about self love....

'Round and round we go like this for aeons.  But once we dig into the karma and just decide to let it go, to lift ourselves into a better place, things get better.  We allow an old hard feeling to soften. You might not KNOW how to let things go.....do maybe they just sit inside of you until for whatever reason, you feel like its time to clean house, or to face the fact its overdue. Whatever it is that allows you to let go and feel different.

This energy suggested that we do not lose anything, we just begin to attract based on this still clearer energy.  Whatsmore, its all inside of us.  Its like peeling a potato.  You have the outer skin, but you want to peel back those rough layers to get to the core.  There, beneath all the hardness of what the ego has brought to your outsides, lies a still clearer sense of self that you may never have even realized was there.  It is inside each person.  Its so powerful, but so quiet, I am not surprised many have meditated to try and find it.  Its not a thing.  It is a feeling.  Once you begin to "get" it, it is easier to find.  Easiest still, is it is perfect, waiting for when you can peel back the layers that you thought were absolutely crucial to your being or survival prior to all of this.  It might seem that letting go of all that is before you is a giant loss, but consider that all that is right for you will remain while all that is not right, not in YOUR divine alignment, will simply drop away.  Don't let ego seek to pick it back up.  Just let youself let it all go.  In time, you will forget it was even there.  Some things that get dropped will be harder, but just keep yourself in the moment.  You will likely find, though, that things get easier.  For now, let that be the way.  There is a season and time for everything.

Once you can become more clear, you will begin to do something you have never done before, which is to attract based on this divine alignement rather than the alignment to karma.  We tell ourselves that we NEED a person or event to take place in order to satisfy our lack of self love.  But there is nothing in truth that we can lose in this divine love.  It was never gone, we just played a trick on ourselves saying it was gone, or that we were hated or not loved.  The ego, in its infancy, made a mess of things it seems.  And now, the WAY to learn is to learn from your higher self.  Time to let it do the driving.  TIme to start listening to IT and as you do, you will be much happier.  Content. Bliss-filled. The desire that remains is not based on what the ego thinks it wants or needs.  This wil be a desire based on a timeless state of being.  Not losing love or being hurt from something from the outside.  That has always seemed to befuddle the ego and all kinds of patterns are seen on the screen that is the universe.

The Price of Admission

Getting to awakening is the source of a lot of consternation.  Some conjecture, some myth-building, and some wisdom for good measure.

I suspect that for some people some drugs serve to be a mirror to what they know deep down inside is THE mother of all experiences.  Each person is different, and I suspect that there is a kind of drug use based on physiology.  Some go for speedy drugs, some for more opiates and some for still others for other reasons.  There are the psychoactive drugs and these cover a broad swath and touch upon the speedy and opiates.  While all of this hints at something deeper, it isn’t the deeper thing.
In your body is the perfect pharmacopia for this experience.  In fact, learning how to ride the cosmic wave is all about learning through feeling for how to perch atop that wave and ride it in perfect bliss. If you open to it, the universe will start to talk to you.  You might not see mandalas turning in the sun or flowers emit smells you never really had EVER smelled like that before or saw something in a friend in such a way that it had never existed in your normal day to day consciousness, but this awareness wont wear off either. The world will continue to be silky and sumptuous, sensual, sexy even, and wonderful. When you need to know stuff, stuff will come to you.  It will be as though you are seeing into the center of all life…because this thing in you IS life.  Perhaps others will have other experiences, but that’s what I seem to get off this wonderfilled experience called awakening.
I don’t have to buy something illegal because my body produces the chemistry already and pretty dependably. I don’t have to worry about someone coming after me or of getting a bad batch.  I also don’t have to worry about how hard this will be on my body.  There are some advantages to this natural chemistry within.  For one, this stuff seems to be slowing my aging.  All my siblings are grey and I am not. My sister four years younger is almost completely grey.  I am just getting strands still. And they are on the rise, yes, but it seems that since my awakening, certain aspects of aging have slowed considerably.I have some of the deepest states of rapture where I am connected to something larger, a larger consciousness, a larger web of life.  Its not just an idea, its an experience.  Its not reflected to me in kaleidoscopic images, but through a deep and building sense of awareness, like I am on to something.  Its less as though something is happpening TO me as I and IT are happening to each other.  There is also information encoded within the experience, a knowingness, a creative field where anything I am interested in can be apprehended in some way that is entirely mysterious, but that shows just how important my ability to feel and BE is. I can ignore it, and the bliss is perfectly happy to carry me along.  I can dive down into it, and that is fine too.

And for as good as all of that is, I do have some bad trips. I don’t want it to seem like its all roses.  For as long as I have issues that tangle me up, the energy which is pure can get bent or distorted.  The resulting lack of ease has taught me that I must learn to always follow the bliss, even if this might be something that my culture has taught me not to do, like there is somehow something wrong with being happy (its kind of silly looking back on it…) The truth is, this is a kind of tiller of your psychic soil.  If there are some nasty slugs laying low, this will certain churn them up.  And in the end, its a blessing even though until you realize how to deal with all of this stuff it can be a little hard.  Some substances do the same thing sometimes, and what we experience as a bad trip is just the material within expressing itself and taking what could be bliss and distorting it some.  When the kundalini blues comes, its an invitation to learn how to let go of something buried in your subconscious.  Once its been rooted out, its never as horrible as it seemed when you went walking through the dark garden of your soul at night looking to kill off that noxious weed you knew would wrap itself around your foot and drag you into its lair.  Its actually just the opposite.  Its more like a mouse instead of a dragon, and its gone in a twinkling, never to return.  Like that.  And your life changes because of it.  Your vibration is different now, and you begin to attract based on that new vibration without that strand of karmic stuff competing with all the other stuff inside of you.  When this happens, it makes the next layer or next issue a little easier.  Having these kinds of successes is big because knowing that there is a means for dealing with these hard places within is very assuring for the journey ahead.

Consider my earlier post, which was itself a short one where my posts are considered….its about looking for stuff outside of you.  Obviously you are here in a psychical body to experience all this has to offer, but on a larger level, the species is learning one very important lesson that this awakening stuff offers, which is that we have been looking outside of ourselves for a long time for the things we need, so focused on the physical side that we have forgotten the other side of the coin, which is every bit as important as the material side of experience.  We THINK someone is out there to show us the way.  Don’t feel bad, I had this very same feeling.  Someone out there was going to be able to tell me or show me exactly what I needed to know.  Long story, but it would make sense if you knew the long story.  But not here.  Not now.  I have to keep this under 350 pages!  :-)

What I am saying is its IN you.  Intention, inner work, all of those things, can help bring forth the fountain of awakening.  Sure, a teacher might be inculcated in the process, but realize that that person may be the result of your inner self drawing that person to you, or setting up the circumstances for y9our meeting or engaging in a learning environment.  Realizing that, learning to honor the healing and growth that could come from such an exchange or relationship is a good thing, but it may not be the end-all be-all.  You are the end-all in this, and getting yourself to a place where you can become a conduit for the divine for your own joy and uplifting is a VERY healthy thing in the realm of spirit.  There is some talk of the transfer of this energy from person to person, but honestly, I think it sticks when we are ready.  Ultimately its up to you.  You are in control. If your ego has been sailing the ship and its time for the ego to let loose its grip, your inner knowing may or may not come forward enough to press for some opportunities for change.  In the end, all of you must be engaged in this pursuit in order for change to come, for healing to happen.  And when you do heal, it loosens those old threads that have had you tangled up and you are better able to approach that simple light of the infinite within which has one very basic foundation, which is love, and its unconditional.  Its the karma and the resulting threads that put conditions on things.  As we heal we can hold ever an ever greater and deeper awareness of ourselves as who we are under all the layers.

So its in you.  When you take substances that mimic aspects of the pharmacopia inside of you, you can also cause your body to produce less of that chemistry, which can be a concern because it can create dependence on it.  Some substances trigger a dopamine release such as sex and nicotine, for example.   Some substances may supply it directly, such as the euphoria from some narcotics.  Being able to get the chemistry within you is the most direct method that will mirror a directness in your being with your divine awareness, too.  I am not saying that a drug wont help you to glimpse what is possible.  I think it can, but I also feel that most drugs are just one facet of a still larger experience that can only be properly experienced in your own skin and with your own body reflecting a system that’s running in alignment with the energy that is trying to situate itself in you.  So as a catalyst, it might be just the thing, or not.  It might lead you to a sense like there is something more, perhaps a more direct experience, as happened with me.  We live in a day when we are being showered with the idea that we can get our problems solved with a pill.  These are the interests of the big drug companies, and their agenda is in making as much money as they can.  Children stay on anti anxiety medicines instead of doing the therapy that would rid them of the anxiety producing event in the first place.  Each day they take a pill they are reminded of how sick they are, instead of placing the power of healing in their hands.  There are a lot of voices in all of this, and its important to know what you need.  Do you need a kick start?  Steve Jobs credits taking l.s.d. as an important moment for him. It loosened up a rather tight self so that it could consider other things. It might be that the kick start is an event, a miraculous kind of coincidence that brings a teacher to your door, someone who will mirror a deeper sense in you that the universe is entirely magical and all you need to do is believe in that magical self.  There is no one road, and my hope is that the world learns to find the thing inside of them which can crack open their normal worlds and show them just how possible finding a better place can be. And as we heal and grow, so does the world.  The world is, after all, a giant mirror.

The Point

Waking up and moving beyond old hurts is about building awareness.  There comes a time when you either are or are not aware that the pain and tightness felt is the result of your own misalignment with your divine flow.  Its not that you are bad.  Its that you have allowed material that is inconsequential to your infinite or Essential Self to come between you and it.

People who awaken often have all kinds of symptoms of pain which isn't anything that medicine can diagnose.  Many go home with some prescription or other, but it never solves the problem.  These issues often clear up in time, but only once kundalini helps to identify and bring awareness that its not your BODY that is feeling this, but its your energy body.  In chinese medicine, pain and trauma gets lodged in the energy field.  The idea that we push stuff down is true.  it isn't just in the brain or head.  Its all through us.  Things of a sexual and nurturing nature get lodged in the root.  Issues related to our sensuality are in the sacral.  Issues concerning our individuality are in our gut.  The heart is about our ability to sense in an instinctive way what truth is, divine truth...as well as the pulse of love.  Our throat chakra is involved with being heard and speaking our truth.  And on and on it goes.  These chakras are aligned to feelings because of vibratory frequencies involved in each center.  Taken together, these centers form a complete octave, a kind of range of colors in vibration that make a rainbow.  Its energy and like attracts like.  So naturally, as you become aware, you can feel how your stomach is tight, or how your root is unsettled and tight.  When this happens, it can help you to identify what you are doing with your thoughts and feelings.  It can make you more self aware.  It can help you to learn to get beyond those feelings, and fill that space with a better feeling. FEELING.  Not emotions, though.  We have emotions, and they can often be just as unsettled as our karmas....are often inculcated right alongside our karmas, our attachments to hurts and old old trauma.  This can go back for lifetimes, often resulting in a repeating pattern that is a bit of a rut.  The great thing is this rut can be healed in just one lifetime.  Sometimes in moments.  If you are aware and ready to let go of that old investment.  Problem is, our pains often define us.  It seems kind of crazy, but we are all this way.  And in so being, the way to healing is with a healthy does of compassion and understanding.  For all of us.

This is about stripping down to nothing.  Then, when you have all the dross of this world removed, you can build based on what your higher self offers.  Your higher self is the parent, is the father and mother that Jesus spoke of (the mother got swept under the rug, but in recently discovered texts he DOES say mother/Holy ghost, which was known as the feminine aspect of the divinity).  Others speak of the same thing.  Your insides are dying to feel into this broad range of being that will flow instead of feel stopped up.  Learning to listen to your inner parentage, your higher self which is both masculine and feminine, is an important tool in developing freedom.  Sadly, the Christian tradition could not allow the feminine her place…..but when you heal the rift between your masculine and feminine, you will FEEL your masculine and feminine in your higher self much more clearly.  There is a lot of work to do, so do not be fooled you have it licked.  You don’t.  You are just a very young being compared to your higher self.  Your higher self has this licked.  Learning to listen to it will never lead you astray.  But most people are clueless about how to do this.  Or how the role of the creative can get them out of the log-jam of their pain and suffering.

Learning to cast awareness is the first step.  Understanding that all that comes between you and the infinite is karmic.  Much of this is so close to you that its hard to see.  There is no work; this is a misunderstood illusory thing.  The only work there is is in letting it all go.  And how do you do that?  Grace.  There is another way to understand it, but I have said it over and over until I am blue.  I am now feeling other colors would be nicer for me.  You do not need a teacher.  The teacher is in you.  What you need is someone who will remind you of your vast storehouse of potential.  What trips you up?  Kundalini?  Nonsense.  You know better than that.  That’s victim talk.  What trips you up is you.  And if you realize that this is true, then what is it in your that is causing all the tripping?  Are you the least bit curious?  If you are, then getting to understand that everything that remains for you in your “process” is entirely inside you.  It is also reflected outside of you in the world, but don’t be fooled into thinking that this reflection IS the reality.  It isn’t.

The Law of Attraction means you will attract the same based on where you are, what you are.  the people in your life reflect all of this.  If you are looking for a teacher and you cannot find awareness, your teacher will also have problems with awareness.  So where will this get you?  The true authority is within you.  You must learn how to grab the can opener and open your own cans.  Otherwise, you give your power over to someone who will rob you of your wealth inwardly.  We have ALL been doing this for centuries.  That is another story.

Learn to feel, learn about grace, and remember what you are.  You are infinite.  Let go.  The universe is calling.

The River

I always believed that one must follow the path of least resistance.  Most denied this was nothing more than getting lost, being lazy, or not really trying. I felt deep down it was a way of being found, as well as a way to reach a goal with the greatest degree of grace.  For in the letting go, the surrender to those larger currents, we surrender to the currents of life, a giant entity that swirls and moves around us….amazing in proportion, and we are a part of it, wedded all through it, seemingly a droplet in its river, yet capable of being the entirety of it. It was our incredible need to control everything that leads to feeling like life is something we have to fight against, to resist the flow.  All along, I was not moving with the larger current that was all around me.

And then I awoke.

I hear rivers speak to me, they speak of the inevitability of letting go, of flowing into the All. And I know that the river leads to the sea. I began to awaken to the fact that life itself was entirely supportive, but I had to trust that what I was attracting was good for me, and if it wasn’t right, I had to simply change how I felt, what I believed.  By doing this work, new things emerged and moved into my life.  This life force filled me with bliss and a boundless feeling of being part of it, no longer a cog in the giant machinery, but a strand in a web that now pulsed with a message of energy. I had awakened to my larger, truer nature.  It was cosmic, orgasmic, and beautiful.  We have been seeking to put up barriers to this through beliefs that somehow our true nature is somehow bad.  Going against the flow has served only to shield us from our very animal nature, that nature we have said was sinful and bad.  By trusting in what the Creator put before us, fulfillment and wonder replaced loathing and guilt and shame.  I was able to take one step closer to the Garden.

This is the greatest love, of letting go of the roots and rocks so we may all float easy and naturally in our natures as the ancient knowing that we are flows in around us and we are slowly melted by its great passion.

The river is where we must all go, stepping in gently and then becoming embraced by it.  It is our passionate embrace, the touch of the divine kiss that knows the incredible beauty that is every soul.
Let the current take you.  It will protect you if you believe it will. It will take you to the right place if you can suspend old judgements and trust long enough for this unfolding sense of self to flow through you, in you and around you.  We never were separate from the flow that now pulls at us seemingly separate, but begging us to know the deeper truth.  Losing control is the first step in regaining your birthright, which is more than your smaller awareness.  Surrendering the control opens up a whole new world, a larger self, a delicious realm of being.
